Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

My daughter is 4 years old. After piercing her ear, she is suffering from piercing infection. Her weight is 20 kg. I have also attached the pictures of her ears.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com. Evidently, the infection stems from the piercing. To remedy this, certain measures need to be undertaken. The piercing should be removed, and if pus is observed, delicately squeezing it and applying warm compresses can aid in facilitating drainage. It is recommended to consider a course of Cefuroxime syrup at 250 mg per 5 mL, a teaspoon taken twice daily for 7 to 10 days. Additionally, applying Erythromycin gel locally twice daily can be beneficial. Seeking advice from a medical professional is crucial; engage in a discussion with the doctor to determine the appropriate treatment and proceed with their consent.
