Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I had exposure, and after six months, I have all HIV symptoms, but my 14, 15, 16, 18, and 19 months three ICTC tests, two ELISA tests, and one western blot test are negative. Also, 16 months VDRL and rapid plasma reagin tested negative. Please help. Do I have HIV or not?

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have opened all five attached files (attachments removed for the patient's identity protection). Four of HIV 1 and HIV2 are negative.

The blood report of 17.4 17 is correct. You have mentioned so many symptoms, but even your erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) is 6 mm. There is no chance of symptoms. In chronic diseases, at least ESR is raised. You are 100 % not HIV infected.

My advice,

You have mentioned a case history of lymph node enlargement; if so, go for FNAC (needle biopsy) and histopathology examination so that it is confirmed that you have any particular disease. Once the diagnosis is settled, treatment is easy.

Treatment,

To increase immunity, take a high-protein diet.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
