Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I had flu now. I have lost my voice. It is deep husky. I can only say certain words and its pressure to talk and when I do sounds deep congested. Currently, I am taking Panadol.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

You are having affected voice and congestive symptoms. Hence it could be laryngitis like larynx inflammation condition. Your indirect laryngoscopy examination (which is OPD procedure) should be done to visualize larynx. You can be prescribed short-term steroid course of Betamethasone 0.5 mg for five days if larynx inflammation present. Steam inhalation did three times a day. Salt water gargle done that is beneficial. Avoid excess spicy foods. Consult otorhinolaryngologist for examination and according to indirect laryngoscopy examination finding, I can guide you further.
