Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

My friend had unprotected sex on the fifth day of her periods and before 40 hours, she consumed I-pill and from the next day, she started taking Krimson 35. Are there any chances of pregnancy?

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

No, if the cycle length is between 22 to 35 days, the fertile period lies between day 8 to 18 and no need to worry if had intercourse on day five. She will not get pregnant. It is good that she started on regular pills for 21 days and then stopped for seven days, but should not have taken I-pill. If taken, the next periods might be delayed. You can use these pills as a regular method. If taken regularly for 21 days, it prevents pregnancy but if forgotten to take the pill, efficacy decreases and pregnancy may occur and intermittent spotting may also occur.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
