Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 22-year-old girl. I am 5.4 feet in height and 94 pounds in weight. I am in severe depression due to financial issues in my family and my love affair. I have an inferiority complex. I am an over-sensitive, and every little thing hurts me. I feel my self ugly and less than everyone. Every little thing my boyfriend says, I feel too much. I get jealous. I want to leave him because I think he can have better than me. I hurt myself, and I cry for hours. I sleep for longer hours. I do not want to get out of bed. But I want to be normal and live happily.

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern. Be confident, respect, and accept yourself, whatever you are. If you do not value yourself, then no one will do. Start taking care of yourself. Do exercise daily. Just go for 30 to 45 minutes walking. Do meditation for 15 minutes daily. Eat healthy food, involve fruits and vegetables, and avoid junk foods. Drink lots of water. Take just seven hours of sleep, then get out of bed. Be bold. You seem to be suffering from depression. You may need medications the following medicines with the above routine changes: Tablet Escitalopram 10 mg in the morning daily, and tablet Clonazepam 0.5 mg at night if sleep disturbance. However, please consult a physician, discuss with them, and start taking the medications with their consent. Also, do blood reports, serum TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone), and serum vitamins B12. I hope this helps you.

Thank you and take care.
