Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My father has low hemoglobin and also has diabetes and heart problems. How can I boost my father's hemoglobin level? Kindly help.

Answered by Dr. Shaikh Sadaf

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

Your father looks to have severe anemia. This cannot be solved just with iron supplements. You should have an iron transfusion as quickly as possible in an emergency room. It is also critical to determine the reason for such low hemoglobin levels. Is he bleeding someplace, for example, from a pile, hemorrhoid, or any other medical issue that might cause internal bleeding? I recommend you take your father to the nearest the hospital for iron therapy or whatever best treatment the emergency room doctor recommends and have him evaluated adequately for internal bleeding, etc.

I hope I have answered your question.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
