What can cause itching and white discharge from the vagina?

I read your query and understand your concern. White vaginal discharge with pinkish or redness with a burning sensation, and with a feeling of the skin has gone, usually occurs due to candidiasis, a fungal infection in the vagina. This can follow if you had sexual transmission if you are diabetic, if your partner is diabetic, in pregnancy or if you use vaginal douche repeatedly, or with a recent course of antibiotics. This fungus is usually present in every lady's vagina when there is a trigger like any one of the above causes. All you need is abstinence till the symptoms are fully gone & both you & your partner need to consult your doctor and have a full course of antifungals and antibiotics. I suggest you and your partner to take the following:

1. Tablet. Fluconazole (Microcrystalline cellulose, Dibasic calcium phosphate) 150 mg only one tablet after lunch.

2. Tablet. Azithromycin 1 gm only one tablet, no repetition one hour before food.

3. Tablet. Secnidazole forte two tablets stat (no repetition ) after dinner.

All these on the same day by both of you. Later you have Cap. Doxycycline 100 mg twice a day for one week, Vaginal wash twice a day, and vaginal pessary, capsule. Clingen forte or Candid- CL or Cansoft CL once at night for five nights. Your partner can have a local application of any antibiotic and antifungal cream (Candid B or Candiderma or Lobate GM ) on the penis twice a day after washing it for seven days. Do not have sex till the infection is fully gone. Do treat it as delay may send the infection inwards & may affect both your and your partner's future fertility. Do have your blood sugar tested (fasting and post-prandial) in view of weight more than normal. The expected weight is 114 to 125 pounds. I hope I have cleared all your doubts.
