Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 30-year-old man, and for the past three days, my inner thighs have been itching. Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

Fungal infection indeed is very problematic if it becomes recurrent. I suggest you follow the instructions and medicines that are mentioned below.

    1. Never leave the area moist. To keep it dry, frequently apply powder.
    2. Do not scratch and avoid itching.
    3. Replace your underwear.
    4. Avoid using creams that include steroids.
    5. Avoid overheating and damp clothing.
    6. Apply Ketoconazole cream for two months.
    7. Tablet Itraconazole 200 mg once a day for one month
    8. Levocetirizine 10 mg once in the morning and once in the evening.
    9. Please send the photographs if possible for better evaluation of the problem, continue taking the medication even after you have recovered.
    10. To totally eradicate the fungus, use the medication for a suggested period.
    11. I hope this helps.

      Thank you and take care.

      Regards.
