Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I have lower and upper jaw pain, toothache, pain opening the mouth and a neck ache.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
You might have a habit of clenching your teeth very tightly, that is why you are having joint pain on opening and closing of the mouth. Your TMJ must be disrupted. For its relief, take tablet Brufen 400 mg twice a day for three days. And take any best muscle relaxant tablet like Nospa twice a day for five days. Moreover, do some hot compress at your temporomandibular joint three times a day for two weeks. Try not to yawn, eat with a spoon and try limiting your mouth opening wide as much as possible. For toothache, I need more elaborated history, minor pain will be covered through Brufen, but if a severe infection is there, it definitely needs treatment through the dentist. Give me a follow-up after three days. Stay happy and blessed.
