Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I slipped while running a month ago after which I suffered from lumbar lordosis. I consulted a doctor who gave me a painkiller and an ointment. But the condition has not improved.

Please help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I went through your query.

It seems you have a muscle spasm. So, I suggest you follow the instructions mentioned below.

1. Avoid lifting heavy weights.

2. Avoid arching your back.

3. Avoid sitting for long hours.

4. Avoid two-wheeler rides.

5. Improve your posture while sitting.

6. Get up from your chair every 20 minutes and take a quick walk.

7. Do not get up suddenly from a sleeping position.

8. Take bed rest if there is severe pain.

9. Do hot fomentations twice daily over the affected area.

10. Apply a good pain relief gel twice daily.

11. Take a tablet of Pregabalin (anticonvulsant) once daily for ten days.

12. Take a tablet of Ibuprofen (painkiller) twice daily for ten days.

13. Take a tablet of Rabeprazole (antacid) once daily for ten days before food.

14. Take a tablet of Shelcal (Calcium) twice daily for 30 days.

14. Do physiotherapy and back strengthening exercises.

Kindly consult a specialist, talk with them, and take medicines with their consent.

Hope it helps.

Thanks and regards.
