Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have had a raised bump lesion with red dots in the center of my scrotum for one month. It has not grown in size and does not bleed or release pus. It was a little tender or painful before but the pain has decreased. I thought I had shaved and maybe this is a boil and will go away but it did not. I am worried is it skin cancer growing on the scrotum. What is this bump and why is it not going? Please help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern. I have seen the images and it seems like a wart to me. Does it pain as a boil usually does?

Please revert back with the answers.

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor for the reply,

It was hurting before but now it does not. I have had comprehensive STD (sexually transmitted disease) testing before and everything including herpes of both types. What can cause warts? Will it go away? Does this look like any skin cancer of the scrotum? Do you think I need a biopsy?

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern. A wart is an infection caused by HPV (human papillomavirus). Since you have a single lesion, it can be cauterized.

I hope this helps you.

Thank you.

Regards.
