Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a student who is now studying for the medical entrance exam. I developed a masturbating habit, which I do three to four days a week. Kindly help me to break this addiction. My attention decreases, and I get tired while studying. I have not masturbated in two years, since I was in 11th and 12th grade.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

Masturbation is natural; 95 % of males do it (out of a hundred males), and it is just another method to have sex without a partner. It is a good habit to get into. It relieves stress, improves mood, improves sleep, prevents depression and anxiety, relaxes the mind, relieves pain and muscle cramps, relieves sexual tension, boosts confidence, supports better sex, helps the person understand his needs and desires, and in females masturbation increases vaginal blood flow. Masturbation will not injure your penis; however, more than two to three times per week may produce weariness, lack of focus, and a sensation of sterility. I suggest that you follow the following instructions mentioned below to reduce masturbation.

  1. Sex education.

  2. Physical exercises.

  3. Sleep adjustment.

  4. Quality of sleep.

  5. Following a healthy and balanced diet.

  6. Programming for leisure time.

  7. Development of spirituality.

  8. Taking a cold bath.

To handle tiredness or increase strength, I suggest you the following

  1. Take a capsule of Astymin forte (a nutritional supplement) once in the morning.

  2. Take a tablet Shelcal (vitamin D and calcium supplement) once in the night after food for 30 days.

I hope this helps. Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
