Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

From yesterday, I am suffering from loose motions and vomiting. I do not feel fever, but, whatever I eat, I feel it is in my throat. I feel vomiting sensation. I feel very weak, drowsy and not able to do my normal work. Also, felt left side shoulder and chest discomfort. My age is 31 and I do not have any bad habits. I have high triglycerides around 345 and other lipid levels are normal. For the past two years, my triglycerides are in this range only. I have taken Pantop 40 mg, some tablets for stopping motion and Nicip pain killer for left side chest and shoulder pain. I feel tightness also, but doctors confirmed it is not a heart problem, Three days back, I ate sweets and since then I feel very discomfort. Four months back, I have undergone ECG, TMT and other tests which showed all normal. Kindly do the needful. Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com. We are here to help you with your current condition of acute gastroenteritis (AGE). While most cases of diarrhea are viral and resolve within three to five days without antibiotics, the presence of blood in your stools suggests bacterial dysentery. To address this, I recommend antibiotics such as Ofloxacin and Ornidazole. It would also be beneficial for you to take probiotics containing Lactobacillus, as they can provide relief. Including yogurt in your diet is another natural probiotic option.

If you experience persistent vomiting, antiemetics like Domperidone and Ondansetron may be necessary. Additionally, it is important to drink plenty of oral rehydration salts (ORS) to combat dehydration. Remember to pass urine frequently, and if your urine appears yellowish, it could indicate ongoing dehydration or jaundice. Regarding your chest pain, it appears to be related to either anxiety or gastric issues. Taking a combination of Rabeprazole and Levosulpiride for a few days should help alleviate these symptoms. However, I advise against using Nicip tablets as they contain Nimesulide, which should be avoided. It is important to consult a specialist doctor, discuss your condition with them, and take medications with their consent. Thank you for choosing icliniq.com, and we are here to support you in managing your health concerns.
