Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Since past 3 days my right testicle is swelling up day by day. I am not able to walk properly. Please help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

  • Your description of symptoms is suggestive of orchitis (inflammation of testis) or swelling of testicle. Or inguinal hernia on the right side of hydrocele.
  • If there is pain and redness, it is orchitis or if the swelling increases during coughing and reduces on lying down, it is likely to be a hernia.
  • If the swelling feels like a bag of water, it is likely to be hydrocele.
  • In all three cases, it is advisable that you see a surgeon soon. Even though, you feel it is not urgent, it could turn into emergency if it gets complicated.
  • It is a common problem and there is nothing to be shy about. The surgeon will be able to help you in all cases. Take care.
