Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a 45-year-old female and weigh 271 pounds. I have been exercising with no noticeable changes. I have tried many fat-melting and alternative medicines, among other things that I cannot even count. Recently, I saw an advertisement for Contrave, and I wanted to ask if I can try it out and if it is available over the counter. How does it work? Has it provided any good results? I know information is available on the internet, but all those details might be sponsored by the manufacturer. I am seeking some expert advice.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

We welcome you to icliniq family.

I appreciate the confidence you place in me for your healthcare consultation.

I understand your concern. All weight-loss medications are not good for our health because they can lead to plenty of side effects like dizziness and severe muscle weakness. So, please do not take any medications, including anti-obesity medications, as they can cause such symptoms. Please be aware of all these things; all weight-loss medications have serious health side effects. Even Contrave (a combination of Bupropion and Naltrexone) may have similar symptoms, so I would suggest not using it over the counter. First, you should try lifestyle modifications, and if they fail, then we can consider other possible treatments. You should try natural ways of weight loss, such as dieting and going to the gym.

Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
