Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am concerned about my irregular periods. Last, I got them on the 7th of last passing month and then I got them in between for a day and later for half a day this month. What can I do?

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern. It seems you have signs and symptoms of polycystic ovaries. I recommend you consult your gynecologist doctor and then tablet of Norethisterone 10 mg from day 4 to day 26 of your menstrual cycle and then wait for the withdrawal bleeding. And again start on day 4 of your menstrual period and repeat for three cycles. I also suggest you go for

  1. Transvaginal scan.
  2. Serum sex hormone tests include progesterone, insulin, testosterone, prolactin, FSH (follicle stimulating hormone), LH (luteinizing hormone), and thyroid function test.
  3. Have a healthy diet.
  4. Go for a daily walk and other recreational activities to have a normal BMI (body mass index) and weight.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
