Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am experiencing ongoing neck stiffness and migraine headaches. These symptoms often require me to rest during the day, although I am generally able to sleep well at night.
I have managed this condition for about five years. It was initially diagnosed as cervical stenosis, but my symptoms have recently worsened beyond previous levels. However, recent X-rays show no significant changes from earlier reports.
I would appreciate your recommendations for exercises or physical therapy that may help relieve my symptoms. For your reference, I have attached photographs of my neck.
Additionally, I am currently taking medication for blood pressure and migraines, as well as pain relief such as acetaminophen.
Kindly help.
Thank you for your time and support.

Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
Thank you for your answer.
I am currently working in the marketing department; however, I limit my computer usage due to ongoing neck stiffness. On a typical day, I walk between 5,500 and 12,000 steps. In addition, I maintain an active routine by going to the gym approximately three times per week.
Please help.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
I read your query and understood your concern.
First, please consider your posture. Is your computer at eye level when you work, or do you often lean forward to use it?
Additionally, could you share the distance you typically walk in a single uninterrupted session? I am more interested in this than your total daily steps.
Kindly follow up with the requested information.
I hope this helps you.
Thank you.
Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
Thank you for your answer.
At work, my monitor is set at eye level. When I work from home, I use a laptop, but I plan to get an external monitor so I can keep the same eye-level setup.
I usually lie on the couch or bed and use my phone for about an hour each day. I do this mainly to ease my neck discomfort, not just out of habit or convenience.
For exercise, I usually take brisk walks that last about 15 to 20 minutes each time.
Please help.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
I read your query and understood your concern.
You are aware of the issue at hand. It is important to address your posture, even when working from home. I suggest you choose a table and chair setup and maintain a correct position while working.
Additionally, whether you are watching television or using your mobile device, make sure not to slouch. I suggest you extend your daily walk to cover a distance of four kilometers in a single stretch.
I hope this has helped you.
Kindly follow up if you have more doubts.
Thank you.
Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
Thank you for your answer.
I am experiencing discomfort in the veins and abdomen. I have already undergone a CT scan for this issue. It may pertain to the condition called Nutcracker syndrome, about which I read on the internet. I might need a diagnosis if I am indeed affected by it. Should I seek consultation with a cardiologist or a urologist for this matter?
Kindly help.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
I read your query and understood your concern.
Nutcracker syndrome is indeed a relatively rare condition, so I would recommend not relying solely on information from the internet, as it can sometimes highlight less common diagnoses.
Regarding your symptoms, could you please share when the pain first began?
Additionally, have you tried any medications so far to help manage or relieve it?
I hope this has helped you.
Kindly follow up if you have more doubts.
Thank you.
Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
Thanks for the reply.
I have been taking medicines for my stomach pain called Polycarbophil calcium for the past three months.
Please help.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
I read your query and understood your concern.
If the duration of pain has extended to three months, it is a considerable period. To ensure you do not spend more time in uncertainty, I suggest you consult a Gastroenterologist, talk with them, and take the medications with their consent.
I hope this has helped you.
Kindly follow up if you have more doubts.
Thank you.
Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
Thanks for the reply,
I consulted a gastroenterologist, who prescribed medication and ordered a CT scan and abdominal ultrasound. Currently, irritable bowel syndrome is suspected but not yet confirmed.
I am concerned that other potential causes may be overlooked. A recent kidney ultrasound showed normal results.
Could you advise if further investigations are recommended? I am also interested in whether my symptoms may be related to dietary factors or changes in gastrointestinal structure. Additionally, I have experienced weight fluctuations of about 11 pounds.
Please help.
I would greatly appreciate your guidance.

Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
Thank you for the reply,
Yes, I have been experiencing intermittent diarrhea, occurring for about three days at a time with periods of normalcy in between. I also frequently experience bloating and fluctuations in appetite, ranging from reduced hunger to occasional episodes of intense hunger.
My doctor has prescribed a medication containing mepenzolate bromide and polycarbophil calcium to help manage these symptoms.
Kindly suggest.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
I read your query and understood your concern.
Your symptoms suggest you may have irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). Although there is no cure, many people manage it well by making changes to their diet and daily habits.
Try to find out which foods or situations make your symptoms worse, and do your best to avoid them. Medications may help a little, but changing your diet and lifestyle is usually the most effective way to manage IBS.
I hope this has helped you.
Kindly follow up if you have more doubts.
Thank you.

Hello doctor,
Thank you for your guidance.
I am still experiencing persistent neck stiffness, which at times is accompanied by numbness in my arm. Would it be helpful if I shared my X-ray or MRI scans for your review?
I would also be open to scheduling a call to discuss this in more detail, as the symptoms have been significantly affecting me recently.
I would really appreciate your thoughts.

Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
Thank you for your response.
Can you suggest some safe stretches for someone with cervical stenosis? I am looking for movements that might ease discomfort without causing more strain or injury.
Please help.
Thank you for your assistance.
Hello,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
I read your query and understood your concern.
It is important to understand that any exercises you do will not directly impact your spinal stenosis. Exercise will not lead to an improvement or worsening of your stenosis, as it is a mechanical issue. The primary benefit of exercise lies in strengthening your neck muscles and potentially reducing neck pain to some extent.
I hope this has helped you.
Kindly follow up if you have more doubts.
Thank you.
Patient's Query
