Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I had my last period two months back and after that, I have not had any. In the last three to four days there was little spotting and some reddish brownish jelly kind of discharge when I inserted my finger inside. I am confused should I count it as a period or not?

Kindly help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Sometimes periods might fluctuate by a week and it is normal, but you are saying there is only spotting. We should rule out other possibilities. If you are sexually active then you should do a urine pregnancy test otherwise no need to do anything right now. This should be considered as periods only, because of stress or illness there could be scanty menstruation. Do not insert your finger or anything especially during periods because there is a high chance of getting an infection from this.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
