What does an Echo test report that shows MVP with mild MR suggest?
Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I have undergone ECG, Echo, TMT, Blood tests, and X-ray. All the reports are normal. However, Echo shows MVP with mild MR. Currently, I am on tablet Petril Beta 10. Also, I feel tired and have lost about 13 pounds of weight. Is the test report fine? Kindly suggest.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
Sorry to hear about your illness. I understand your concern and would be happy to help. Do not worry; you will be fine. MVP (Mitral valve prolapse) can be the reason for your tiredness but not weight loss. Do you feel breathless after a slight physical activity? Kindly get back on the above question. Thank you.
Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
Thank you for your response. I only feel tired all the time. Kindly advise.
Hello,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
A majority of your reports (attachments removed to protect patient's identity) are normal except for the echo, which shows moderate mitral valve prolapse, which is why you feel tired. I suggest you consult a cardiologist for a physical examination and treatment. I hope this helps. Do revert in case of further doubts. Thank you.
Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
