Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 54 years old and have had multiple sclerosis symptoms for over three years and progressively worsening. GP will not give a referral to a neurologist because of a recent MRI stating white matter lesions are possibly "age-induced". My weight is 120 lbs and my height is 5 feet 4 inches. My symptoms are getting worse and flare with stress. I am not taking any medications at present. I got a blood test done for Autoimmune disorders and it was negative.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have read your query and understand your concern. Multiple sclerosis (MS) diagnoses on the basis of McDonald Criteria for MS, it should have clinical and radiological symptoms, but your radiology is normal, and no typical lesion noted as per the report (attachment removed to protect patient's identity). But you did not mention symptoms, and how it affects your life. If you elaborate on your symptoms I can suggest a better and more concise way.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

As per your symptoms, it looks to me that it may be myoclonic jerks, and I suggest you start working for myoclonic epilepsy because, jerking movement with sudden drops of things from hand, lack of balance, and other things can lead to myoclonus plus you should get check your vitamin B12 and folate levels checked. I would appreciate it more if you have a video related to your symptoms like dropping things and others. I hope you find this helpful.

Thank you.
