Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I had protected intercourse but engaged in unprotected oral sex two weeks ago. I have noticed red bumps under the skin of my penile glans when it is erect. They are usually not itchy, but occasionally, they do itch. I have had this condition for about 10 days now. I am concerned if this could be an STI or something else. Please help.

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understand your concern.

I have examined the picture provided (attachments removed to protect the patient's identity). It appears to be a case of balanitis. I suggest using Candid-B cream (Beclometasone 0.025 percent w/w and Clotrimazole 1 percent w/w) for local application twice daily and taking one tablet of Fluconazole 150 mg once a week for two weeks. Consult your doctor and take the medicines. Also, I suggest you consider getting your blood sugar levels checked.

I hope this helps.

For further inquiries, feel free to consult me at icliniq.com.

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for your reply.

I would like to mention that I took Viagra before intercourse, and shortly afterward, I experienced some urinary discharge. Also, I would like to inquire whether this condition is a fungal or bacterial infection, or if it could potentially be an STI.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

It appears to be a mixed infection involving both fungal and bacterial components. Viagra (Sildenafil 50 mg) can lead to prolonged erections and increased prostate activity, which may result in a slight serous discharge resembling urine. It is not actually an STI (sexually transmitted infection), but once acquired, it may take a long time to resolve. This condition is often observed in individuals with diabetes.

I hope this helps.

Please revert in case of further queries.

Thank you.
