Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 33-year-old unmarried man with a height of 6 feet and 1 inch and weighing around 95 Kg. For the last few days, I have been having palpitations and pain in the shoulder joint regularly during the night; however, during the day, it is normal. All my tests are in the higher range like cholesterol is 253 mg/dL. ECG is normal.

What could it mean?

Kindly help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I went through your query, and from what you have mentioned, it appears to be dyslipidemia. The palpitations are due to high cholesterol levels.

My advice:

Consult your specialist doctor, talk to them and take medication after their consent.

  1. Take tablet Simvastatin 20 mg at bedtime for six months.
  2. Avoid junk food and fried foods.
  3. I suggest you become vegetarian for your health.
  4. Try to walk daily, starting from 10 minutes and gradually reach 60 minutes daily.
  5. Drink two glasses of water before every meal.

Repeat your lipid profile after six months, and then we will review it again.

Hope you find my advice beneficial.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
