Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My current issue is related to the skin color of my penis. I have noticed a change in color, specifically a whitening effect, both on the shaft of the penis and the skin beneath it. This change has been present for a considerable period of time and appears to be progressing. In the past, there has been a case of skin rupture in the area below the skin where it joins the shaft which had caused me pain, particularly during erections or intercourse. However, I am currently not experiencing pain, itching, or other related symptoms. I want to know the underlying causes and the appropriate treatment for it. Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understood your concern. Based on the information you provided, It appears that you may have experienced a condition known as phimosis, which resulted in a rupture during sexual activity. The subsequent healing process of the traumatic rupture often leads to the formation of white fibrotic tissue. If the skin darkening of the penis bothers you, then I suggest you consult a dermatologist for treatment. Additionally, if you are still dealing with phimosis, I suggest you consult a urologist. They can offer a single-day procedure that can alleviate any pain experienced during sexual activity as a result of phimosis. I hope this has helped you. Please follow up if you have more doubts.

Thank you.
