I am a 29-year-old male. Currently, I am suffering from external piles. I have pain while passing stools. I am not taking any medication for it. Kindly help.

Please mention whether you taking any medications. Kindly mention your personal history. External hemorrhoids are hemorrhoids that affect the veins outside the anus. They can cause bleeding, cracking, and itching. Taking home remedies can help you. Take warm baths by gently cleaning your anus after a bowel movement. Try to use moistened wipes or cotton pads. Try to apply cloth-covered ice packs to reduce swelling. Taking over-the-counter pain relievers like Ibuprofen or Acetaminophen helps to provide relief for pain and discomfort. You can apply Hydrocortisone cream for itching. If there is no improvement, consult a surgeon for having a detailed assessment.

Investigations to be done

For investigations, you need to do a proctoscopy.
