This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 18 years old. I had a symtoms of piles. I think there must be a little growth of substance. Is it very serious? What can I do for it? And tell me some practices to control it.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

First of all, do not worry too much. It does not seem you have complicated piles since this presents with sudden and intense local pain (in which case you should go to a surgeon). It seems you have a mild disease. There are various recommendations for this problem. You should poop without difficulty. I recommend Psyllium Plantago (oral powder) one spoon in a glass of water every morning. Sitz bath with warm (not too warm) water two times a day (for 20 to 30 minutes). Diltiazem ointment, place a small amount in the affected area two times a day (after you do sitz bath). Continue this for at least six weeks and you should get very good results.
