Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have pain in the heel of both my feet. I also have pain in the finger joints of both feet and hands. It becomes more painful while trying to get up after sitting for a period of time. It gets better after I walk for a while. This pain is nagging. At times I have pain in the mid-riff and thighs. What could be the probable cause and treatment? I take Ciploric 300 at night and Pan 40 in the morning on an empty stomach.

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

After going through the symptoms given, I find it to be a case of Plantar fasciitis. Plantar fasciitis is a condition where the fascia or the tissue at the heel becomes inflamed. There will be pain, especially in the morning after getting up from sleep. I suggest you take the following medications:

1. Tablet Piroxicam 20 mg (Take the medicine once in the night after food for 10 days).

2. Tablet Rabeprazole 20 mg (Take the medicine once in the night before food for 10 days).

3. Tablet Shelcal CT (Take the medicine once in the morning before food for 30 days).

4. Tablet Vitamin -D (60 K) (take the medicine once a day for 10 days, followed by once a month for 11 months).

5 Apply Dolonex ointment after getting up in the morning.

Consult your physician and take the medicine accordingly. Take the medicines only if you are not allergic to any of them. Avoid them if you have a history of bronchial asthma. I suggest you exercise regularly. Do calf strengthening exercises twice daily for 15 minutes for each leg. Wear shoes with soft soles. All these will help to reduce the pain. Apply ice twice daily.

I hope this information will help you. Please revert in case of further queries.

Thank you.
