Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
One day in my college washroom, a piece of paper fell on my sanitary pad. I wore that sanitary pad with the paper, and I am worried if that paper contained some semen as the boy's washroom is just above the girl's bathroom. The girls' washroom has a hole from which the paper came.
I am worried if any of the college boys wiped semen with it and threw it onto my sanitary pad, can this cause pregnancy? It is the ninth day of the cycle.
Please answer.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern.
See, sperm do not survive in the open for long. In a few studies, the maximum reported timing is five minutes, which is very rare.
This is due to various chemical reactions which sperms undergo with atmospheric contents, pollutants, and chemicals present in the paper. Further, even if sperm is present and motility is there, it needs to enter the vagina and fertilize an egg.
The egg is generally absent on the ninth day of the cycle. In case the egg was there, the sperm was mobile and fertilized the egg. Then also, the fertilized egg needs to be implanted in the uterus. When all this happens successfully, a female is said to have conceived. So please do not worry.
Feel free to ask any questions or to share any additional information.
Thank you.

Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
Thank you for the reply,
If a boy ejaculated on a paper and threw it onto a girl's sanitary pad from the opposite window of the washroom, and she wore that sanitary pad with paper, can it cause pregnancy?
She is on the ninth day of the cycle. Is beta HCG required? Due to a lack of sexual education, I took six pills within three weeks.
Would that increase the chance of pregnancy?
Patient's Query

Please, doctor, answer this question first, If a boy ejaculated on paper and threw it onto a girl's sanitary pad immediately after ejaculation in the area of the vagina from the opposite window to the girl's pad and she wore that sanitary pad with paper can it cause pregnancy? Please tell me the reasons as well.
I did a beta HCG after 22 days for the same, and the value was 0.07. Should I do it again?
Hi,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
Not to worry about the paper thing. You are safe from pregnancy. Since you are so stressed, do a pregnancy test again after a week if you miss your period. It shall also come negative, but at least you will be at ease with your mind.
Do not take so much stress.
