Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 38 years old, suffering from premature ejaculation for the last four to five years. I ejaculate in less than 10 to 15 seconds. My height is 5 feet 9 inches and I weigh around 72 kg. I do not suffer from any major disease. Please advise what needs to be done for premature ejaculation.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Premature ejaculation is very common and is usually not associated with any disease. It may be due to anxiety, sometimes, however, there may be a problem with the prostate gland and thyroid hormone. Most often it is a chronic problem and you have to take medicines off and on. Also, there are exercises to control it. You can learn to control it by doing this exercise: Pull your muscles that you pull at the end of urination for a few seconds then release and repeat this several times daily. Another is the stop-start technique: When you feel that you are going to ejaculate stop the sexual stimulation and divert your mind, the penis will relax, and after some time start the stimulation again and repeat the procedure. Over a few months, you will gradually increase your ejaculation time. Medicines cannot be prescribed without physical examination.

Thank you.
