Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I think it is pretty clear that I have PE. I do not usually last more than 30 seconds after penetration, sometimes 45 seconds. Is there a pill I can take? I am married for two years now, and it is frustrating for both of us. Please help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

PE (premature ejaculation) is a frustrating issue with about 49 to 50 percent of people. There are a few ways to treat it, which include behavioral and medical therapy. Behavioral therapy is by coitus interruptus means when you start intercourse, you can stop before you ejaculate until the feeling is gone and continue again with repeating this way the sensation will reduce until completion of satisfactory sexual intercourse. Another way is squeeze method is before ejaculation you or your partner should squeeze the glans to stop the ejaculation then continue the intercourse. The medical way is by applying anesthetic gel or spray to reduce the sensation and delay ejaculation. You can use Xylocaine or Lignocaine gel. Tablets are like serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SRIs) are successful but reserved for people who did not respond to above measures but can cause side effects. Therefore I advise you to try the above measures if it fails then I will prescribe you oral tablets on follow up.

I hope this helps.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
