Hi doctor,
I am a 30-year-old male weighing 230 pounds. I have been having ectopic heartbeats for four days, and my heart skips beat two times a minute or sometimes less. Should I be worried? Is it something serious? I have had ectopic heartbeats before, which usually last only two days. This time was different as it had been going on for four days. I am currently taking Amlodipine. The ECG test that I had undergone seven years back was normal. Please help.

The cause for your condition could be ventricular premature complexes. These are ectopic or extra beats that are usually benign and not life-threatening.
