Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I had recently started getting my periods. I have not had my period for two or three months now. Lately, my cervix started hurting nonstop and would occasionally bleed. This became the reason why I struggled to pee, and when I pee, blood also comes out of my vagina. Right now, I do not know what might have caused it. But I have done a bit of research, since this has been going on for a week now, and I am quite sure it does not have anything to do with my irregular period. Something is wrong. It keeps hurting and earlier today, I could not walk properly due to the intense pain. Also, I tried to stop myself from peeing all day, because the pain gets more intense as I pee. Please help me. I am scared of telling my mom about this. Also, I kind of tried masturbating before. Using various objects for pleasure. I think it may have caused this. I am also really scared of consulting a doctor in real life, for I am pretty embarrassed and I do not know what kind of person they will think I am. I regret everything. I regret not stopping. Please help me.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

You are too small to have a regular cycle. In this early age you are at the beginning of the development of menstrual and reproductive developmental cycle, so can have very irregular and anovulatory cycles. Premenstrual or menstrual syndrome could be more severe. For that, you can have medications, even hormonal support as well in the next step if unable to benefit from painkillers or Ibuprofen. Using various objects for pleasure has given you an infection and for that, you need precautions and treatment. Vaginal secretions cannot be sent now as you are menstruating. Have strict hygiene. Wear soft comfortable cotton undergarments. Sitz bath and sit in warm water. Have tablet Doxycycline 100 mg 12 hourly, tablet Metronidazole 400 mg eight hourly for seven days and tablet Ponstan (Mefenamic acid) 500 mg eight hourly as per needed for the pain. If in the coming periods, you feel pain, you can have tablet Ponstan 500 mg eight hourly for 3 to 5 days as per your need, if unable to get benefit from that, you can have oral combined contraceptive pills for three months.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
