Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I want to ask you about the problem of the decline of the gums. Is there an effective treatment?

Answered by Dr. Tooba Qazi

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Yes, there are following treatment options for your case. Scaling of all teeth and then follow medications. You should get mild scaling treatment for teeth and then start using Chlorhexadine gluconate mouthwash for two weeks twice a day. Do saline water mouthrinses (take a cup of lukewarm water and add 1/4th teaspoon of salt in it) once a day before you sleep for two weeks or start using mouthwash and doing mouthrinses without scaling but it will delay the healing of gums. I would recommend you first option as in your case I can see in anterior teeth gums are receding (attachment removed to protect patient identity). After scaling, the dead tissue of gums get shredded away and new healthy gums come over after 14 days and receding is stopped right there. Do give me followup after two weeks. Stay happy and blessed.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
