Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I underwent a laser surgery for piles two days ago. I feel bumpy on the left side and still have anal pain. I have not had a bowel movement since yesterday morning, but I pass gas. I sometimes have the urge to go to the bathroom, but I pass gas, and I see some pus with blood coming frequently, but I did not pass stools. I feel the left side is a little bumpy, and also I have rectal pain while coughing and laughing.

Kindly suggest me a solution for this.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I went through your query and understood your concern.

I feel you might be on antibiotics, analgesics, probiotics, sitz bath, and laxatives. I suggest you to continue those medicines. Your problem will be alright within a week.

If you can share me your prescription it will be helpful for better understanding.

Thank you. Take care.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I have gone through your prescription, and I suggest you to continue those medicines (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity). Also, I suggest you to follow the instructions mentioned below:

1. Increase the dose of Cremaffin (Liquid paraffin and Milk of magnesia) to 15 ml if you do not pass stool.

2. Take Chymorol Forte-DS (Trypsin and Chymotrypsin-double strength) one tablet, once in the morning and one at night, or Chymorol Forte (Trypsin and Chymotrypsin) two tablets three times a day for two days to reduce the swelling and edema.

3. Continue the sitz bath with Betadine solution (antiseptic agent) for three to four days.

I hope this has helped you.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for your reply.

I have severe pain in my anal region while passing stool, and also, I have pain while sitting normally. For how long will the pain be there after laser surgery? Kindly help me.

Answered by Dr. Pandian. P

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

The pain will be there for seven days. However, if you have severe pain, I suggest you to take the following medications:

1. Zerodol-P (Aceclofenac and Paracetamol) instead of Flexon (Paracetamol and Ibuprofen).

2. Take one shot of Voveran (Diclofenac) injection to reduce the pain.

I hope this has helped you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
