Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have red rashes on the legs and back. They do not go, and they always come back. They itch when the skin is dry and flaky. It started appearing a few months back. They began as small ingrown hair, became red, and then got bigger. Some doctors call it psoriasis, some say it is lichen planus, and some call it eczema or neurodermatitis. But no one was able to arrive at a diagnosis. So doctors have put me on ointment Salicylic acid initially. Now, I am using ointment Telovaste and several moisturizers, and medicated soaps. But nothing is helping as of now. Please help me, doctor. Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

The differential diagnosis is chronic eczematoid dermatosis, associated onychomycosis of toenails, secondary fungal infection, scabies, autoeczematization, and keloid scar. I suggest you (consult with a specialist doctor, talk with him or her and take medicines with their consent). Apply gel Miconazole 1 % twice daily for two months. Use Permite BB soap for the bath for two months. Maintain proper hygiene. Avoid sharing personal belongings. Keep a check on sugar levels. Have an anti-septic bath twice daily. Avoid scratching and rubbing of lesions. Take Capsule Antoxid-HC (Beta Carotene, Zinc Sulphate Monohydrate, Selenium Dioxide, Manganese, Copper) once daily after breakfast for 30 days. Increase Vitamin C intake in your diet. Eat oranges, amla, sweet lime, lemonade, berries, gooseberries, avocado, pears, kiwi, etc. Stay hydrated. Drink 7 to 8 glasses of water daily. Stay calm. Stay relaxed. Avoid stress and trigger factors. Follow up after 30 days. Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
