Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I have a moderate cough for the past two weeks. I have sputum rarely. I do not have a fever or any problem with swallowing. But I can feel the pain while touching my throat below the jaw. I had a runny nose two weeks back but now it is gone. So I do not have a runny nose now.
I took Augmentin 625 mg before two to three days back and my condition became better after taking it. Now it is back and it gets triggered at night. I also have a lot of gas.
Kindly help.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
You seem to have gastroesophageal reflux disease. This condition develops with a dry cough at night and a sore throat and causes a burning sensation in the stomach. Please mention whether you have any recent history of weight gain.
Sleep disturbance causes gas problems. Normally, our body produces 12 to 16 liters of gas. People sleeping for six to eight hours will not have any gas problems. You can take Levosulpiride and Esomeprazole tablets twice a day. Take 0.17 ounces of antacid syrup containing Sodium alginate, Sodium bicarbonate, and Calcium carbonate three times a day. You can take 0.51 ounces of Lactulose syrup at night.
I hope you are satisfied with my answer. For further queries, you can consult me at icliniq.
Thank you.
