Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have some kind of rash on my forehead in two to three places. I have been using Candid on it. It does get better but then again comes back. I do feel itching sometimes. I think it grows back when I sweat more.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have read your query, and I would like to know a few answers,

  1. Since how long do you have the above problem?
  2. Are there any similar lesions elsewhere in the body?
  3. Any raised blood sugar level?

Kindly share a picture to assess it better. Thanks.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thank you for the reply.

I have just attached the images. I do not have rashes on any part of my body except my forehead. I have not done any sugar tests, but I have not had any sugar problems.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I saw the attached picture (attachments removed to protect the patient's identity). It seems to be tinea faciei, a fungal infection of the face.

I suggest Onabet (Sertaconazole) cream 2 % - twice daily for two weeks. Apply the cream before bedtime and leave it for a longer duration for effectiveness. Do not go outside in the sunlight after cream application. Avoid applying cream if you get irritation or burning sensation for a long duration or any allergic reaction.

I hope you will get the result after its application. However, if it recurs again, you might need to take oral antifungals after consulting a local dermatologist.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thank you for the reply.

I will update the progress tomorrow.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Sure. You are most welcome.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thank you for the reply.

Is there any other option than Onabet cream as it is not available? Dermiford BN and Dermikem OC plus are available.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I can suggest Luliconazole cream 1 % daily before bedtime for effective absorption.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
