Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have a granular sore throat for more than three months. I consulted many doctors and one ENT specialist also, but nothing happened. They gave me medicines for gargling and other medicines for seven days. I took medicines from different doctors for about one month, but nothing happened. Finally, I approached an ENT specialist for the second time and he gave me Robast-DSR and Bilasure 20 for one month but no effect. Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Please send me images of your throat. Do you have reflux in the form of burning sensation in your chest or your stomach? Do you have a bitter taste in your throat when waking up in the morning? Do you smoke or drink alcohol? Do you consume al ot of spicy and fast foods? Are you under any psychological stress?

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

I have burning sensation in the chest. I have bitter taste in my throat in the evening. Earlier, there was no itching, but now I have itching in my eyes and throat also. I do not smoke or drink alcohol. My regular foods are chapati, bhaji, etc. I have only a little stress due to job but nothing more than that.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

You tried a lot of antiacid medication without results. So I recommend visiting a gastroenterologist to examine the gastrointestinal function and see if there any surgical cause for persistent reflux. Job stress increases anxiety which reduces immunity and increases reflux and gastric problems. I advise you to use Amoxicillin 500 mg three times a day for a week to eradicate any bacterial infection in your throat. Keep your self away from heavy spicy meals. Do not eat before bedtime.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
