Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a 26-year-old with spinal cord pain at the end near my butt. And it is swollen, I cannot sit or sleep. Please help.

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

This is called coccydynia, usually due to a fall on the buttocks. It would help to take the following medicines: tablet Ibuprofen 400 mg for ten days after food, tablet Rabeprazole 20 mg for ten days before food, and tablet Shelcal (calcium and vitamin D3) 500 mg for 30 days before food. Take a tablet of Vitamin D 60K units once daily for ten days. Take these tablets only if you are not allergic to them. Do not take these tablets if you have bronchial asthma. Try to avoid sitting for seven days. Instead, sleep or stand or walk. Your pain will reduce significantly after a week. Consult a specialist doctor and take medications with their consent.

I hope this information will help.

Thanks.
