My mom had a heart attack three days ago, and she is receiving treatment. The doctor said that after the angiogram, they found three blockages in her heart: one is 90 to 95 percent, the second is 90 to 98 percent, and the third is 60 to 70 percent. He mentioned that she needs two stents, and I am looking for the best treatment option. The doctor here says she does not have much time, and the procedure needs to be done within two days.
Some additional information: she has had diabetes for a long time. Before the heart attack, she experienced symptoms like difficulty sleeping for two days and trouble breathing. On the first day of treatment, the doctor said there was some water in her lungs, which has now been cleared, and some kidney injuries, which have been stabilized with medication.
I am now confused about what to do. Should I proceed with getting the stents placed, as suggested by this doctor, or do we have time to wait for the best treatment? She is currently receiving saline and some medications, but I am not sure of the names. Her physical condition has improved; she is breathing normally and speaking fluently.
