Patient's Query

Hello doctor

My father has developed weakness in the left side of the face, hand, and leg. He is 67 years old. Last week, he developed weakness in the left arm and leg. So we consulted a doctor (MD) and admitted him to the hospital. There they did MRI brain the next day, and the report is attached here. Also, they started physiotherapy.

And they started Injection Meganeuron Forte, Macetam 15 ml Injection, Tablet Ecosprin150, Clopilet, Aztor 40, Palsinuron, Nicardia Rtd 10 mg, Nefrosave, Happi-D, Triple-A Cal FD. Today he is feeling good, with better arm and leg motion. So should we continue Physiotherapy lifelong and need to do MRI again? Please guide.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Sorry to have known about your father. He suffered from acute stroke, and MRI angio also is not alarming (attachment removed to protect patient identity). Physiotherapy has to be continued for three to six months, and in your dad's case, since he has already improved, there are better chances of improvement with Physiotherapy.

Blood thinners like Ecosprin, Clopilet, and Aztor have to be continued for a longer time. His kidney function test has to be repeated daily. Chances of a restroke are severely reduced if he continues these medicines. And blood pressure control is very important.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
