Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My natural skin tone is fair but my complexion became darker a few years back when I was under chronic sun exposure. What to do?

Please help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I went through your query and understood your concern.

I suggest you wash your face with a mild face wash twice daily for 15 days. I also suggest you take a tablet of Vitamin C 500 milligrams once daily after breakfast for 30 days.

Kindly consult a specialist, talk with them, and take medicines with their consent.

I hope this has helped you.

Thanks and regards.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thanks for your reply.

I am in my thirties and am on anti-depressants.

Please help.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Certain medications can cause drug-induced hyperpigmentation like anti-depressants. So, I suggest you follow the instructions mentioned below.

1. Take a multivitamin capsule once daily after dinner for 30 days.

2. Wash your face with a mild face wash twice daily for 20 days.

3. Apply a good Glycolic Acid cream at night for six weeks.

4. Take a tablet of vitamin C 500 milligrams once daily after breakfast for 30 days.

5. Use a good photostable sunscreen daily without failure whether outdoors or indoors.

6. Apply a good moisturizing cream before sunscreen application.

7. Increase vitamin C and Vitamin A-rich foods in your diet. Eat lots of fruits and green vegetables.

8. Avoid direct sunlight exposure.

9. Use broad-brimmed hats.

Kindly consult a specialist doctor, talk with them, and take medicines with their consent.

I hope this has helped you.

Thanks and regards.
