Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have had ringing in my ears for a month. I had a CT, chest X-ray, and blood work done. I went to the ENT he told me it was not my ears. No fluid, no infections are present, and sinuses are good. He told me it could be an aneurysm tumor or pressure in the brain. CT showed no signs. What could be the cause? I also get dizzy at times but not always. Someone said it could be a sign of a heart attack. I was taking cholesterol medicine before this issue but stopped that, and also, my primary doctor. gave me Flonase with steroids that did not work either. This is driving me crazy. They said to go to the neurologist.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com

Episodes of dizziness could be related to different possible causes:

  1. Chronic degeneration of the cervical vertebral column.
  2. A low blood flow to the brain due to vertebral-basilary artery stenosis.
  3. Blood pressure fluctuations.
  4. The ringing in your ears could be related to thyroid dysfunction or chronic anemia. For this reason, I recommend performing some tests: complete blood count, thyroid hormone levels, a cervical spine X-ray study, and a doppler ultrasound of the cervical arteries.
  5. Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
