Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

What does this report mean? The report is of a 10-year-old child. Growth hormone 0.2 ng/ml children (0 to 16).

Answered by Dr. Archana. G.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have seen all the files attached by you (attachment removed to protect patient identity). All the reports are in the normal range except for TSH (thyroid-stimulating hormones) values which are low. That means the baby is hyperthyroid. It can happen in many conditions and needs a physical examination of the thyroid gland.

Kindly go to an endocrinologist for further treatment and he will put the baby on antithyroid drugs.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
