Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

The patient has stomach ache and weakness. I have the patient's Widal test report. Please help me with the typhoid report. Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

The Widal test is positive (attachment removed to protect patient identity). The treatment prescribed by the doctor is very accurate for typhoid. My advise is complete bed rest and plenty of liquid. For example, tea, coffee, juice, and sack are suggested. Avoid solid food, including fruits. In typhoid, the intestine is badly damaged from the inside (blister) and so, solid food is not advisable for 10 to 15 days. Then, slowly start with a light diet that consists water of and well-cooked lentils two or three times a day. Later, can start with well-cooked rice with dal. Avoid vegetables for five to seven days. Then, slowly resume the normal diet for four to six times in divided doses. Also, avoid spicy food and outside food at least for three months. Fresh curd is good for the intestinal tract as well as pain in the abdomen.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
