Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

For the past year till now, I have been experiencing itching badly from my neck to down. I got some small open red bumps on my hands and stomach everywhere and hives like rashes seen on my neck and inner thighs. I was diagnosed with scabies a few months ago and now got a cream for itching that started yesterday. But the itching has not stopped instead it became worse and it slowly started spreading all over the body, neck, arms, hand wrist, armpits, stomach, back, behind, knees, groin, thighs, legs, and ankles. It is worse at room temperature or warmer temperatures. I blew up like a balloon and it was on and off during the day. It is not really constant one minute and the next horrible thing is last night continual itching caused loss of feeling in my thumb to my middle finger a horizontal type of pain appearance changing from white to red on both of the hands and two pus blisters on opposite hands. Cleaned the blisters after popping because it may hurt more if left as it is and when I sweat, more itching is caused like I am infested with fleas. My grandmother keeps saying that it may be due to my testosterone injections. Because I itch every week as soon as I inject after some time I feel itch. Testosterone fat injections do not know the name and anxiety or bipolar pill once per day. I have severely sensitive skin but I have been diagnosed and treated as the problems progressed. And I just want this to stop this itching.

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for your query.

I have gone through your case in detail. In my opinion you are having urticaria rash. There are number of causes of urticaria and yes testosterone could be one of them.

Please note if you feel itching due to any of following agents and try to avoid them as much as you can.

1.Drug like pain killers or antibiotics.

2.Insect bite or bugs.

3.Sometimes after exertion or after the exercise.

4.Cold.

5.Any artificial food flavors.

I suggest you to follow a few instructions mentioned below.

  1. Please mix one table spoon of Betamethasone lotion with olive oil and apply twice daily on your lesion.
  2. Take tablet Cetirizine 10 mg at night for ten days.

I hope this has helped you. Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
