Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am having sudden patches like mosquito bites all over my skin. It disappears and reappears daily and causes itching. I searched online for this and found that it is urticaria. I consulted a doctor. They saw my symptoms in a hurry and gave the tablet Itraconazole 100, Fluconazole 200, and an injection. Is it safe to take these tablets as these are given to the patient with ringworms?
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern. Your history suggests urticaria and not ringworm, so there is no need to take those medicines. Acute urticaria can occur because of some infections, drugs, vaccines, or dental infections. It would have been better if you could send some clinical pictures. Urticaria responds well to antihistamines like Levocetirizine 5 mg once a day. It needs to be taken regularly for a few weeks. Consult the doctor and take Levocetirizine.
