What does it indicate if a person who had sex recently has developed diarrhea after sex?

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a little worried. While I was having sex with my boyfriend (monogamous for over four years) the other day, his penis accidentally brushed near my vaginal region very briefly. I am just worried about any bacteria that could have entered my vagina. I also had some diarrhea yesterday, so I am worried that the diarrhea was due to some infection. I urinated immediately after intercourse, knowing there are steps to take if you have anal and vaginal sex. Still, I wanted to know if I should be worried about a little brush against my vagina that occurred during vaginal sex. I am scared.

Please help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understood your concern.

I have gone through your history in detail. As he had not inserted his penis inside the anal canal and only touched the anus, the chances of infection or contamination of the vagina are very low. Diarrhea could be due to infection or sometimes only flora disturbances. You can take probiotics for the same. Are you having any symptoms of vaginal infection like vaginal pain and discharge?

Hope to hear from you soon.

Feel free to ask for more information.

Good luck.

Regards.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for the reply.

I have had gastrointestinal issues in the last few months, so the diarrhea is not surprising. There is no vaginal pain. I had some amount of clear discharge yesterday morning.

Please help.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

As you are already having diarrhea for the last few months and the penis only touched the anus, the chances of vaginal infection are less in your case as you washed it properly.

So no need to worry about it.

Hope everything will be fine.

Regards.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
