Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I have got a headache, body pain, unwell feeling in the stomach, fatigue, and mild fever which has been coming and going for five days. I had got typhoid fever two years ago. Currently, I have taken three pills of Ciprofloxacin 500 mg. What should I do?
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
It seems you are having a viral fever.
I suggest you take the tablet Paracetamol 650 mg thrice daily for three days. You can also take a combination of Pantoprazole and Domperidone once daily for three days. Consult your specialist doctor, discuss with him or her, and with their consent take the medicines. You should drink plenty of fluids and eat a soft and bland diet. There is no relationship with typhoid you had previously.
I hope this helps. Thank you.
Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
The fever is very minor. The main problem is the headache and also getting tired even walking small distances. One of the family members has got typhoid. At that time, I went to my hometown too. The problem started after coming from the home. I am not sure if my problem is related to that. Should I go for a blood test? It has been five days since I got it and it is not going. Could you please suggest treatment?
Hello,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
If your fever has crossed five days duration, you may get a Widal test done today. A headache can be a symptom of typhoid but can occur in typhoid and viral exertion. There is no harm in getting a Widal test done. But get it done from a reliable laboratory only.
Follow up with the report.
I hope this helps you. Thank you.
