Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Why is there urine in my semen, especially when I have not ejaculated for more than three days? Why is my urine yellow or greenish? Even if I drink a lot, it does not get clear. Why do I feel a strong urge to urinate when having anal intercourse? My current medications are Sertraline 75 mg (Sertraline hydrochloride), Aerius (Desloratidine), Avamys (Futicasone furoate), sometimes Trazodone (Trazodone hydrochloride). I was on tablet Bupropion for four months and stopped it four days ago.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Color of semen depends on how many days you have not ejaculated. The longer the duration, more is the yellowness in color and thickness in consistency. Your second question is that the urine never gets transparent. The answer to this is the color of urine in normal cases gets transparent if hydration status is good, on the other hand, the color of the urine can be largely affected by medications and also the food that you eat. This is fine, does not have any abnormalities. I advise you to get a urine routine test or a urinalysis to make sure that your urine is fine. Do share the report with me, I shall suggest you accordingly. Kind regards.
