What could be the reason for the frequent accumulation of white flecks over my penis?
Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I have been getting this white stuff that accumulates more and more when I rub my penis head. I have been washing it off every night, but the next day when I rub it same stuff accumulates again. I am not sure what is causing this. Previously I had a yeast infection two months ago, but I have treated it already.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
These white flecks or smegma is infection is the most common fungal infection. This requires proper cleaning by fully retracting the foreskin and applying antifungal cream like Canesten (Clotrimazole and Lidocaine) cream 1 % twice daily for ten days. I hope this will solve the issue. If you have any more queries, please let us know.
Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
Thank you for the reply.
I had a yeast infection two months ago, and I have been applying the cream for over a month. The inflammation stopped. I finished the treatment already using the anti-fungal cream for four to five weeks and stopped using it about three days ago. Why is this still happening? I get no more itch or redness. It is only the white stuff and dry skin.
Hello,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
It seems there is only dry skin over there. So I would suggest not using any more medications. You can use virgin coconut oil to reduce dryness and regularly remove the dry skin. As long as you can retract the foreskin completely and clean it, you are fine. No need to worry about it. It will be fine soon in a week. Other people might suggest Betnovate cream, which is a Hydrocortisone. But I would recommend coconut oil only.
